Merli at the 50th Subida a Tamaimo in the Canary Islands

Christian Merli has been invited to the Canary Islands to race his Osella FA 30 Judd at the 50th Subida a Tamaimo in Western Tenerife. The organisers are looking forward to welcoming their guest of honour after he has won his sixth European hill climb championship.

All in one day
“The Nova Proto is currently dismantled in our workshop. We’re overhauling it and carrying out checks to get it ready for 2026. So we’ve dusted off our Osella FA 30 Judd and are ready to tackle the last event of the year. It's a one-day event, with one practice run and three race runs, where the two best performances are added together. We won on this 5.200 km track in 2022. It’s a nice track, flowing in the first part and technical in the second. Not easy, though.” All in one day then. “The event begins with scrutineering and administrative checking on Friday, and in the evening there will be a spectacular parade in front of a huge crowd in Puerto Santiago to get to the paddock.”
