Christian Merli starting in Germany

Christian Merli is getting ready for the 5th round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship. He will be racing his Nova Proto NP 01 Cosworth at the 27th Int. ADAC Glasbachrennen at Bad Liebenstein in Thuringia in central Germany northeast of Frankfurt.

A busy period for the multiple European champion

“We left the Czech Republic and arrived at the paddock after a 650 km journey. We won here, setting track records, in 2017 and the following year. Some time after, the track was shortened.”

The weekend in Germany and the track in Christian’s words

“Three practice and two race runs on a 5.300 km track. A beautiful track with very good safety. Not too fast, with no hairpins, and with 3rd and 4th gear bends following each other. A technically demanding mixed section and a chicane to reduce the speed. Of course we hope for good weather. What’s important is not to make any mistakes, or you’ll take them with you to the finish line.”
